These terms are an agreement between you and FILMEDBYRAMO ("we", "us"), operator of LensLocal. By creating an account or using the app you accept them. If you don't agree, please don't use LensLocal.
In short. LensLocal connects clients with local photographers and videographers and handles booking payments. The shoot itself is a direct agreement between the client and the creator — we introduce you and process payment, but we don't employ creators or carry out the work.
LensLocal is a marketplace where photographers and videographers — creators — list their work and where people looking to hire them — clients — browse, message, and book.
Any shoot arranged through LensLocal is a direct agreement between the client and the creator. We are not a party to it, we do not supervise creators, and we do not guarantee the quality, safety or legality of any work.
If you list as a creator, you confirm that:
You keep full ownership of everything you upload. By uploading, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, store and display that content for the purpose of operating and promoting LensLocal. This licence ends when you delete the content or your account.
Don't upload anything unlawful, anything that infringes someone else's rights, anyone else's work presented as your own, or anything sexually explicit, hateful or harassing.
Payments run through Stripe. A booking is split into a 50% deposit and a 50% balance. LensLocal keeps a 10% platform fee on each payment; the remaining 90% is paid out to the creator through their connected Stripe account.
A booking request is an enquiry until the creator accepts it. Prices shown in the app are set by the creator. Paying the deposit confirms the booking; the balance is due as agreed between you and the creator.
As a client you authorise us, through Stripe, to charge the deposit and balance for bookings you make. As a creator you authorise LensLocal to deduct the 10% platform fee before paying out the rest.
Cancellations are handled by us, automatically. Cancel 48 hours or more before the shoot and your deposit is refunded minus the 10% booking fee. Cancel within 48 hours and the deposit is non-refundable. If the creator cancels or declines a booking you have paid for, you are refunded in full, including the booking fee.
A booking request is free to cancel until the creator accepts it, as no payment has been taken at that stage. Once you have paid the 50% deposit it holds the creator's date, and the terms above apply.
These terms are set by LensLocal and applied by us when a booking is cancelled in the app — they are not negotiated between the client and the creator. Refunds are returned to your original payment method through Stripe and can take a few days to appear on your statement.
Cancelling is separate from a disagreement about work that was actually delivered. We are not responsible for the standard of work delivered, for no-shows, or for disputes about a finished shoot; if something goes wrong, contact us and we will work with both sides to resolve it.
Reviews may only be left by a client after a completed booking, and must be honest and based on genuine experience. We may remove reviews that are false, abusive, or posted to manipulate ratings.
We may suspend or remove an account that breaches these terms or puts other users at risk. You can close your account at any time from Profile → Settings → Delete my account.
LensLocal is provided "as is". We don't promise the service will be uninterrupted or error-free, and we don't warrant the conduct of any user.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any loss arising from a booking or dealing between users, including unsatisfactory work, cancellations, missed opportunities, or lost income. Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be excluded.
We may update these terms as the service develops. We'll update the date at the top and, for significant changes, let you know in the app. Continuing to use LensLocal after a change means you accept the updated terms.
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction.
